Mellow · Full-Bodied · Uniquely Crafted
Most green teas are made from buds. Guapian is made from leaves — and that single difference changes everything. The result is a bolder, more satisfying cup that still manages to be completely smooth.
✦ Taste Notes
Mellow and gently sweet with a fresh, clean aroma that opens up as the leaves unfurl. The flavor is deeper and more substantial than bud-only green teas — a quiet richness that builds with each sip. The finish is long and refreshing, with a natural sweetness that lingers.
✦ Why You'll Love It
- Made entirely from single leaves — a rare and distinctive approach that produces a fuller, more complex flavor
- One of China's Ten Famous Teas, with centuries of history behind every cup
- 2026 fresh harvest — vibrant, clean, and full of life
- A wonderful everyday tea that never gets boring
✦ Where It Comes From
Liu'an County in Anhui Province has been producing Guapian for centuries — it's one of the few teas historically reserved for the imperial court. The tea grows in a region of rolling hills and clean mountain air, where the conditions are perfectly suited to producing leaves with this distinctive melon-seed shape and pure, lasting flavor.
✦ How to Brew
Heat water to 80–85°C — not a full boil, which would dull the flavor. Use 3–5g per cup and steep for 2–3 minutes. The leaves are generous and can be re-steeped 2–3 times. Watch them unfurl in the cup — it's part of the experience.
